Facebook can be used in a lot of different ways to promote businesses, news, socially, recreational, and entertainment. Facebook is a website where you can create a personal profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages. Facebook is easy to use and you can even access it on your phone.  It’s a great way to communicate and keep up with today’s society. Users can join common-interest user groups, organized by workplace, school, or other characteristics, and categorize their friends into lists such as “People from Work” or “Close Friends”.

Facebook is a great way to advertise all sorts of businesses. Facebook also gets a lot of money from advertising businesses on their website. It’s possible to promote your business on Facebook without spending any money. A negative effect businesses have on Facebook is that false information about businesses can travel. An example of a business on facebook is the AD’s on the side that advertise all the different businesses.

Facebook can also be used for social purposes. As long as a person is logged onto Facebook you can find them and add them as a friend. You can connect with people and communicate with friends and family.  On facebook you can also chat people and message them. A negative social factor on Facebook is that sometimes you can add the wrong person as a friend. This is scary because you don’t know who that person is.

On Facebook you can not only connect with people, but there’s also a lot of entertainment. You can play all different types of games, follow horoscopes, and post videos. Entertainment on Facebook is fun and keeps you occupied. A negative way entertainment can affect facebook is that when you comment on someone’s status multiple times, you can be blocked from facebook.

On facebook you can easily spread and advertise news. When I go on twitter I can always find out new information about what’s going on daily. An example of news on facebook is Channel 12 News. They post there updates daily, so everyone on facebook that’s “friends” with them can see. A negative thing about news on facebook is that the information can sometimes be false and copied by another person.

Another way facebook can be for recreational use is when you make groups and chat with people. I also think facebook can be useful in many recreational ways like playing games, talking to people, and posting pictures. When you do those things you have to be careful what you post because it can be traced back to you.

Prezi

            Prezi is a presentation software and “storytelling” tool for sharing new ideas about anything. Prezi is designed to be creative and used as a tool for both free-form brainstorming and structured presentaions. It’s also a tool for visualizing information online.

         Prezi allows users to zoom in and out of their presentation media. Pictures, videos, and text can be grouped together in frames in the Prezi.

        Prezi’s mission was “to make sharing ideas more interesting” and it is intended to be a new tool to develop and share ideas visually. Prezi is frequently used as an alternative to PowerPoint.  This product has been used my many leadering voices in business and politics to share their ideas.
       Prezi Meeting is an online collaboration feature that allows up to ten people to edit and show their Prezi’s in real time. Each Prezi is visually represented in the presentation window by a small Prezi avatar. Prezi Meeting is included in all license types.

      The World Economic Forum is currently using Prezi as part of its presentation and media strategy. The main Prezi interface is called the Bubble Menu, which consists of five main items. If you know how to use the Prezi Bubble menu it helps you create more exciting presentaions. Once you learn how to use menus, you'll see how quickly you're able to produce professional presentaions. I think Prezi can be very useful for future projects and overall have a more productive presentation.

             Google plus is a great way to make connecting on the web more like connecting to the real world. It’s easy to use, and instantly brings information to you on a specific topic that you have an interest in. By creating a “circle” you can share things with different people and only those people will be able to see it. Circles make it easy to group people together and chat with them separately. Google Plus can be used for businesses, socially, entertainment, news, and recreational. It allows you to share your thoughts, links and photos with the right circles.

            For businesses, Google Plus is a great way to communicate and advertise your corporation. For example if you search sneakers a lot on the web, and Nike is trying to advertise there company on the internet, Google Plus gives you instant access to the topics you care about. Therefore, advertisements and websites for Nike will come up. Google Plus can also be a negative thing for businesses because there is a high competition rate. It will cost businesses a lot of money just to advertise their one product or company.

             The main reason why people use Google Plus is to socially connect with friends, family, and long-lost relatives. It’s a great tool for enabling social interaction. You can video chat with as many as nine people at once, and create a fast, simple group chat. Google Plus brings popular social-media features like comments, photos, music sharing, and video chat to your social circles. Google Plus can be used for anything in general from an on-going conversation to a platform of self- expression. A negative social quality Google Plus has is that sometimes it’s hard to set up circles and it’s confusing to use.  

            Google Plus has many styles of entertainment that we use today. People post pictures, videos, play games, review books, and many more. On Google Plus you learn about information you’re interested in and helps you connect with other people. Although Google Plus has many styles of entertainment it can also be a negative, sometimes the games can have problems and you might not be able to connect with your friends while playing. An example of entertainment on Google Plus is the game room. You can play poker, build a new civilization, and do so much more.

            On Google Plus you can find out a lot of news that’s going on today in society. Not only can “search” bring you news from around the web, but you can also share personal news on Google Plus and have all your friends see them. An example of this is Channel 12 News. If you search “News 12”, advertisements and news will come up. A negative affect of news on Google Plus is that sometimes you can’t find what you’re exactly looking for.

            Lastly, Google Plus is a great website you can use for recreational purposes. It lets you connect with other people that have the same interests as you and chat with them. In Google Plus you can share ideas, plan meetings and get-togethers, send birthday, and holiday wishes, do homework and business together, support charitable causes and much more. By using Google Plus you learn so much about not only people, but the world were in today.

Twitter is not only fast, but simple to use. It can be used through businesses, social, entertainment, news, and recreational purposes.

 Businesses use Twitter to quickly share information with people interested in there products or services. They also use twitter to gather real-time market intelligence and feedback. It builds relationships with customers, partners, and influencers. Twitter also advertises different types of businesses and engages the audience in there company. Twitter can also have a bad effect on businesses because people can talk bad about them and bring their reputation down. An example of a business on twitter is clothes companies when they come out with new items.

Twitter is mainly used to connect with people and for communication socially. It’s a great way to talk with friends and family. You can also follow famous people and learn about their lives. On the other hand, twitter can be a negative thing socially. People can get out of hand and do bad things on twitter. Once you post things on twitter, or the web, you can never get it back or actually delete it. An example of people using twitter for social purposes is teenagers. Teenagers use twitter for social reasons and follow their friends and post things about their lives.

Twitter is a major factor for entertainment purposes. People post pictures, videos, and music on twitter. It’s easy to access and you can learn a lot off of twitter. Surprisingly, entertainment can be used in a negative way too. Rumors about celebrities can spread throughout all of twitter and false information can travel. An example for entertainment on twitter is music and other forms of videos.

You can also learn a lot of news and interesting facts from twitter. You can follow certain businesses like news 12, and have daily updates of the weather go straight to your phone. You can also follow certain people that post facts about daily current events. News on twitter can also be a negative thing because bad news can spread rapidly. Rumors can go around and spread. An example of News on twitter is the New York Times. The New York Times posts information on twitter and also advertises its business.

Twitter can also be used for recreational purposes. You can follow all sorts of celebrities and not have to communicate with them. You can follow anyone you want and just read there posts. If you follow New York Giants sports team then you can also be informed with information about there team, players and the latest updates. Twitter for recreational use can also be a negative thing. Recreational information can always be wrong and unreliable.

Twitter can potentially be abused for multiple reasons. People can do things on twitter that they will regret but cant doing anything about it. When you post things on twitter be aware of what you post because everything can be traced back to you. Be aware of who you follow on twitter because people can be deceptive and pretend to be someone else.
